Play as part of the Sunday worship band. We use a range of instruments and styles — acoustic, electric, keys, bass, drums. Practice is Thursday 6–7pm and Sunday from 9am.

Work with our Trailblazers children's team on Sunday mornings, helping create a safe, fun and faith-building environment for kids. DBS check required.

Help with our After School Club — a community-facing programme for children after school. Supervised role, always working alongside staff. DBS check may be required.

Manage the welcome desk on Sunday mornings — greeting newcomers, handling questions, pointing people to the right person or place. Needs someone calm, warm and well-informed.

Prepare and administer communion on Sunday mornings. A quiet, faithful ministry that serves the whole congregation week by week.

Operate the sound desk for Sunday services. Some experience helpful but training available. Works closely with the worship team.

Keep our tech running — computers, network, equipment. Ad hoc support as issues arise. Perfect for someone with IT skills who wants to serve practically.

Manage Eldad's social media presence — Instagram, Facebook and beyond. Content creation, scheduling, engagement. We want our online presence to reflect who we really are.

Pray for people, usually during services, and help lead or assist prayer meetings. A quiet, faithful ministry that stands behind everything else at Eldad.

Support a small group leader — helping with hospitality, logistics and group dynamics. A great way to explore whether leading is right for you.

Support our safeguarding team — helping ensure Eldad is a safe place for everyone. Involves policy, training coordination, and responding to concerns.

Help by driving to and collecting members for our monthly Young at Heart coffee gathering. Helpful but not essential — a great way to serve if you have a car and a bit of time once a month.

Support the finance team with bookkeeping, reporting, and financial administration. Qualified or experienced in accounts. Works closely with the Finance Lead.

Practical maintenance, repairs and upkeep of the building. If you have trades skills or a general handy streak, this is for you.

Sing as part of the worship team on Sunday mornings. We value heart over perfection — but we do ask for commitment, preparation and a servant attitude.

Support our Discovery youth team — building relationships with young people, helping with activities and walking alongside them in faith. DBS check required.

Be the first face people see at Eldad. The welcome team creates the atmosphere that says 'you belong here' before anyone has sung a note or heard a word.

Help set up and serve refreshments after the Sunday service. One of the most important roles in the building — this is where community actually happens.

Run the presentation slides on Sunday mornings — words, announcements, video. Training provided. Needs reliability and a calm head.

Capture life at Eldad — services, events, community moments. We need someone with an eye for a good shot and a feel for what reflects who we are.

Help maintain and develop the Eldad website. Content updates, new pages, keeping things current and on-brand. Some web skills needed.

Walk alongside people through difficult seasons — visiting, listening, supporting. Works under the direction of the pastoral leadership team.

Lead a small group — facilitating discussion, building community, helping people grow in faith. Training and ongoing support provided.

Lead or host courses like Alpha, Christianity Explored or similar. Training provided. You bring the willingness — we help with the rest.

Help host and support our monthly Young at Heart coffee gathering for older members of our church family — welcoming guests, chatting, and helping the morning run smoothly.

Help with the practical admin that keeps Eldad running — communications, scheduling, correspondence, data. Can be done remotely for much of it.

Keep our building clean, welcoming and ready. Simple, practical, essential. One of the most faithful acts of service in any church.

The church has a very small outside area, but it really makes an impact — keeping it tidy and welcoming gives visitors a great first impression before they even walk through the door.
